The new and fully renovated information office of the Greek National Tourism Organisation at the arrivals area of Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” was inaugurated on Tuesday by the Minister of Tourism, Harris Theocharis, the Secretary General of the Greek National Tourism Organisation, Dimitris Fragakis, and the Director General of the Organisation, Sofia Lazaridou.

The office space is dominated by images from the new EOT advertising campaign “All you want is Greece”, projected on large bright backlit screens reflecting the light and colours of Greece.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the new GNTO Information Office, Mr Theocharis said that “it is very important that, after almost 10 years, the GNTO has a pavilion at Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” again. Two types of information are provided here: The first is about security. Firstly, there are the first ones. People want to know about health protocols, what is in force, what their obligations are. But we also have the “Visit Greece app” for mobile phones and through it we offer information to anyone interested. But we also provide information related to how they can go to our islands, how they can get to know Greece. Greek Tourism is setting sail with a comprehensive and coherent plan. Indeed, it is being congratulated by the international community for the safety it provides for visitors and locals alike. We all worked together for this goal last year, and we are working for the same this year. And we will succeed,” the Tourism Minister said.

For his part, Fragakis pointed out that the new EOT information office at Athens Airport is “another practical proof that our preparation for the opening of tourism is extremely methodical. We are ready to welcome our visitors from abroad with a new, modern and more functional space, which will serve people first and foremost safely. The Greek National Tourism Organisation, in addition to its campaign to promote the country abroad, is also concerned about the image of Greece when a visitor arrives at its largest airport. We are upgrading our services, thus contributing to the even better promotion of the Greek tourist product. I would like to thank the staff of the Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT) who worked for the creation of this new space and the people of the Organization who work both here and in the other information offices for the good work they do.”

The construction of the new EOT Information Office was built to high standards and with full implementation of all health protocols to protect the safety of both employees and the public.
